Anyone own one?

I’m buying one this week. Intro 2018 1910 bay.

Pretty excited. Test run was great.

Any advice?

How regularly do you do maintenance on the motor and what do you do?

I have a F300 Yamaha. I just go by the service schedule for Yamaha. I did a service around 30 hours then every hundred... I have about 30 more hours and I will be up for another hundred hour service. I have a guy who I take it to but I think the hundred hour service is

Oil change
Lower unit oil
Impeller
sparkplugs
fuel filters
Water/Fuel seperator
Service or check anodes
Lube the piston ends
Spray the engine with T9 (protectant)

Im not sure about the thermostats. I know we did them at 200 hours but not sure if its time to do them again or not

I'm all saltwater and I run my boat about 3 days a week. I dont flush it every trip. I usually flush it with salt away once a week or every other trip. I also take the cover off every so often, lube the bracket that the clips attach to and spray the engine down with T9

My fuel/water seperator is in a retarded spot (thanksTidewater) so I have to keep an eye on it. It gets a little salt water dripping on it at times so it will rust. I make sure to wash it down, and the bilge, with fresh water when I wash the boat down every trip

Did you put a protective coat around your boat and if so, do you reapply ever?

No. I assume you are talking about some kind of ceramic coating? I have not done anything like that. Hell, I have not even waxed mine but I am sure it needs it. I just rinse it off everytime I take it out, use salt away every other time and do a good wash with brush about two times a month.

Then just go fishing.

Mine is solid white everywhere

Man thats a pretty boat, pay some kid to come put 3M paste wax on it twice a year.

Avoid chalky gel coat! Wax your boat!

if you didn't use your boat as often, would you leave it plugged in?

Congrats on the new boat. None of these questions pertain to that model of boat. You may get better responses changing your title to something like:

"purchasing a new to me boat, suggestions on routine maintenance?"
