Would he want to come back to Louisiana? Bigger point is that I assume we have staff scouting Louisiana natives that have gone elsewhere to play. We should as there are solid players getting experience at various levels of college ball.

I'll pass. If he's the best we can do, we won't be very good.

Perhaps. But as I said there are plenty of players with Louisiana roots playing ball. Hope we are tracking them and put an emphasis on those players if they fill holes.

Based on how they recruit HS, I'm positive they prioritize home state kids whenever possible.

He'll be draft eligible after this year and is likely a 3-4 round pick. Not sure he wants to transfer.

I'd wager a hefty amount of money on not that.

Based on camp reports, I have a hard time believing Van Buren is next year's solution either. Holstein isn't who I want playing QB though absent titanic improvements from last year.

With the support staff they have assembled the staff has scouting reports on every player whom they might want to recruit from the transfer portal if they become available.

He is certainly better than Walker Howard.
