Almost done digging a 1/3 acre pond. 8-10 feet deep at the max.

No electricity on property today and none expected for 12-18 months.

What is the easiest Cajun engineered way to get a solar panel on a wooden post to tie into a battery and have a converter to plug the pond fountain into without spending $2000+ on the kits?

I don't care if the battery burns up every 2-3 moths. Just need simple and cheap to get me throught about 12-18 months.

TIA

Are you wanting it for aesthetics or for aeration? Here is an aerator system I have looked at in the past. We ended up going with a windmill type system instead.

Aeration mainly but the wife requestes it be "pretty"

ETA: Once we have electiricity on the property it will be a really nice foiuntain aerator. Really just trying ot be as basic and cheap as possible for the next 12-18 months

I dont think you will be able to do anything solar for cheap. to run a motor like what is needed you would be looking at minimum probably 800-1200 dollars just for the solar setup. then you would need the rest of the setup.
