On a Clemson cb playing hurt after one of his sideline catches in order to prevent LSU from going fast. It happened again several times throughout the game especially when we entered the red zone and were gonna go fast after the made first down. No where near as blatant as Lane Kiffin, but Dabo definitely had a couple of his players sell it where there was at least contact and then you stay down.
I guess there's no way to truly rid the sport of this gamesmanship, some coaches are just disguising it better.

It’s happens a lot.
Just like “phantom injuries” to stop the clock.
We do it too

It requires even more of a losers mentality then before
You have to tell the kid if/when they rip a big play into the red zone instantly go down injured lol
Instead of coaching the fake injury after the fact, you coach the kid that the blown coverage is already coming

Spot on! This is 100% being drilled into practices. Dabo even came out to the "injured" player to check on him to really sell this. I'm glad Sharp called out that one player by pointing to him and telling the ref. That gave us a first account pov from an LSU player just exactly what Clemson was doing. A little harder to detect from the obvious Lane Kiffin stuff, but in some ways this Dabo crap is worse because you can see a significant number of coaching hours is going into this to drill this technique into players.

Dabo has this good guy image but he's not IRL. His team plays dirty.

I was watching Syracuse-Tennessee yesterday when the Vols were running up tempo in the red zone. Good old Duce Chestnut started slowly falling to the turf with a fake injury when he saw another Syracuse DB beat him too it. Duce must have been instantaneously healed because he jumped right back up. fricking hilarious.

Give each team 1 injury timeout per half. After that is used, each subsequent injury you must use a timeout or take a penalty and time run off.

Fake injury: any player that stops the game for an injury must sit out 3 consecutive plays and the remainder of the existing series of downs.
