Keeland is a great visit even if it's just to do the morning walking tour, if it's not on race dates

Piggyback a Bengals home game if you can. Lexington to Cincinnati is nice and easy drive, You can park on the KY side of the River and do the walking bridge across right into the riverfront area. Very nice and wear your LSU gear.

Lexington also has a great little downtown with plenty of good restaurants

Lexington and Cincinnati have nice Hyatt properties downtown that are great points values.

Go to Old Friends, where they take in retired race horses. Great cause. Also, if you like horse racing, youll see some famous horses of the past living it up and enjoying life.

It's been 20 years since I've been but I remember the Kentucky Horse Park being really nice. It focuses more on the relationship between humans and horses and not just thoroughbreds. I think the museum there is affiliated with the Smithsonian.

It also operates as a retirement village for races horses. I think Cigar, Alysheba, and Funnycide all were there at one time or another.

The area around the park was really pretty, lots of stack stone walls and trees. I can imagine it's really pretty in the fall.
