Could we see less cupcake games and more home and homes a downstream affect of NIL?

Before paying 750k-1mill wasn’t uncommon for a team to come take an arse whipping. Now, every cent matters and that might be the difference between you having a competent defensive line or not. Could this mean teams are more willing to play tougher opponents or except home and homes from lesser foes in order to save money?

The UT-OSU game and LSU-Clemson games are mostly irrelevant but that has a lot more to do with CFP field than anything else.
