“Experience” vs. “Talent” Which one wins tomorrow night?

With all the blah, blah, blah we’ve heard this week about how good Klubnic and their Dline is, it was a bit refreshing to hear Fiutak say just because Clemson has more experience together, it doesn’t necessarily translate to a better football team.
There’s no doubt LSU has a more talented roster across the board.
With that, we’re consistently much better at defense at all 3 levels, and if the Oline can at least begin the building blocks for a running game, we’re taking this to the house.

Well...we don't know how good a lot of our "talent" might be. Pre-season hype is often just that - hype. Let's just play a few snaps, first.

LSU has a ton of experience. Most of the transfers were seniors. Weeks, Perkins are 3rd or 4th years. Nuss is 5th year. 80% of who will be on the field for LSU will be 4th years plus for LSU. Only ones maybe not are Durham (2nd yr), Dom McKinley (2nd yr), Reliford (2nd yr), Pickett 1st year. Everyone else is experienced.

To me, experience with one another can overcome the difference in talent. You look at how many talented people LSU has had but couldn't capitalize on because of communication breakdowns, lack of reps, and just overall experience in the league.
Lots of very talented players get drafted to the NFL, very few make it beyond there rookie deals.
Give me the experience over talent.

On the defensive side of the ball for LSU, it’s ALL about keeping Klubnik one dimensional. Pressure up the middle is the answer.
If he has seams in which to run,…..we’re going to get gashed. If we start guessing whether to cover or watch the QB, we’ll have a hard time winning.

This. It’s crazy this has been such an issue for so long when past LSU teams were defensive juggernauts. Of course, some of those teams had lackluster offenses.
Hopefully this year we have both! Geaux Tigers

Past LSU teams contained mobile QBs by cage rushing great players like Danielle Hunter, then being criticized for it, by their fans, going on a decade now.

Brian hasn’t won an opener and his quote last year- “We’re not who we thought we were” leaves nothing but doubt until this team wins

We’re experienced at most positions, except oline at spots, and we’re talented. Clemson is harping on inexperience of our oline but most have some good experience individually and a lot of talent.

I think LSU's talent is mostly experienced but yes much of our talent has not played together in a real game, so it will be interesting to see how they manage. By all accounts they seem to get along, but that could change after a bad quarter.
But as most have said it's the most talented team we've had here under BK, so LFG!!
