Has there ever been a more exciting tennis rivalry than McEnroe versus Borg in the early 80s and to a slightly lesser degree McEnroe versus Connors?

McEnroe v. Borg brought so much excitement into tennis and gave a much-needed boost to the tennis world. They were like rock stars.

McEnroe and Lindl was great after Borg. Women's was Evonne Goolagong against King and Evert. Then Evert and Navratilova took over. Sampras and Agassi in the 90s.

McEnroe Connors was more fun to watch just because of their personalities.

Can't think of one that was as intense. McEnroe and Lendl were pretty tough rivalry. But Becker Edberg? Boring. I would say maybe Federer and Nidal come the closest.

I prefer coco gauff vs Naomi Osaka to who can play the race card and victimize themselves more

If you mean a possible fight breaking out kind of rivalry, then McEnroe vs. Conners were generally one small offense away from throwing hands. I'd like Conners in that brawl.

The best rivalry was Evert-Martina in the 80s.

Borg-McEnroe was must-see TV for a few years.
