Glad to see that Sam Burns was selected for the Ryder Cup team.

David Toms was on the Ryder Cup team 3 times. This is Sam's 2nd time on the Ryder Cup team. Fred Haas, another LSU golfer, was on the 1953 Ryder Cup team.

Hal Sutton (not an LSU golfer, but from Shreveport and went to Centenary College) was a Ryder Cup player in four tournaments (1985, 1987, 1999, 2002) and served as the non-playing captain for the U.S. team in 2004.

That makes at least 3 golfers from the Shrevepor/Bossier City area on the Ryder Cup. There may be others.
