American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden and Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror

I just finished watching these two Netflix series and I enjoyed them a lot. I was 16 years old when 9/11 happened but I was always a huge geek and paid attention to the news, so I knew about the embassy bombings in Kenya in 1998 because I was glued to the tv then and I also remember being interested in the USS Cole bombing in 2000 as well. I knew who bin Laden was and that he was a huge a-hole to America but these two shows really opened my eyes to the run up to 9/11. It reopened my anger from 9/11 and now I’m down my annual 9/11 rabbit hole again.
I recommend these two shows to anyone who is an American history lover or to anyone here who was too young to remember or know many details of 9/11.

Well, it was an inside job and bin Laden was dead way before that raid happened. Burial at sea my arse because it wasnt him.

I disagree. From all the podcasting I’ve listened to I believe the very small unit that had OBL pinned down in tora bora was told to stand down, and were refused service from a nearby military vessel in the Persian gulf. Some of the soldiers in that unit have reported an unmarked helicopter flying in and out of OBLs location and he wasn’t seen again until he was killed. John McPhee claims he saw this. The assumption is that Obama ended the agreement to help with his reelection.

I don’t think it was an inside job, but I do think it was willful blindness. I think of 9/11 the same way I think of the Trump assassination attempt. It could have been avoided easily, but it wasn’t for reasons.

When was Bin Laden actually killed?
I'm genuinely curious.

Bin Laden and Saddam were both CIA assets for decades and this is well documented.

They are both lies. Thought you should know. Not sarcasm.

I watched it recently and while it was entertaining and covered the emotions of it all pretty well I don't think it can be taken 100% at face value either
Like the shite where they act like Pakistan would 100% shoot down an American aircraft in their territory if discovered, then they said they were discovered and Pakistani jets were scrambled and tried to make it all very tense without ever saying how many jets were scrambled or how close they were. It took awhile for those Helis to get out of country and those jets would've covered that ground In no time. My suspicion is that no jets were scrambled or as I read elsewhere that they only scrambled them after the US notified them of us leaving their air space
But the thing that pissed me off the MOST out of all of it was the deputy CIA director or whatever he was that had been there since before 9/11 explained that after the "informant" killed those 7-8 CIA agents via suicide bomb after all dramatic and was like "ok, NOW it's personal"
Mother fricker was it not personal for you when nearly 3,000 Americans died in one day under your watch? frick you you deep state pig

I still can't believe that George W. Bush claimed we were attacked on 9/11 because they hated our freedom and our way of life. When in fact it was our government meddling in the affairs of Muslim countries that got us attacked. What a fricking turd.
