Loomis? You have to cut off the head of the snake in order to rebuild. He’s the main problem with this franchise.

He’s not going anywhere until he’s ready, the best we can hope for is better drafts. This draft appears to have been a good one (albeit too early to REALLY know).

I'm baffled by this.. for 15 years Loomis was "the guy who moved money around to get Sean what he wanted"
Now he's suddenly the principal cause of both the Saints and Pelicans being bottom of their respective leagues
The problem with these teams lies 100% at the feet of Gayle Benson. She doesn't know jack shite about running a team in either sport, and so she leans on people shes familiar with to run them for her. Even when they demonstrate that they are completely incapable of producing a winning team, she has no idea where to turn to bring in new blood, so she just keeps hiring from the same pew at her church.

We see this happen all the time though. You have someone with some success become stuck in their ways.
I used to be a frequent defender of Loomis until I started hearing him say ridiculous things.
Eyebrows certainly raised when he started comparing Dennis Allen to Bill Belichick. Gayle literally had to step in and force that fire.
Or how about the time he called saints fans broke essentially. It was after the lions game. He blamed the economy for the lack of fans showing up.
His inability to take blame lately has really made it hard to defend. He is not the whole problem but he is a problem.
