Personally never have. Friend of mine that’s a big UT fan did last year and even though they didn’t make the NC game, made some money off the rising value of the tickets.

do you get your money back if your team doesnt make it? or you just pay the $$ for the opportunity to guarantee the purchase?

Used it in 2019, allowed me to get face value tickets for the natty in the 100 sections of the superdome vs Clemson.

Price of your team’s “stock” rises and falls based on the likelihood that your team makes it to the championship game. So, if your team doesn’t make the championship game, you may get some of your money back, depending on when you sell.

Honestly don’t know shite about it, other than what she told me. Her husband is a UT alum and they bought tickets this year off what they made selling ones last year. Apparently you lose your money if they don’t make it, but value rises as a team gets closer to making it. LSU is 98 bucks this year. Thought about it and was curious what others experience may be

You lose your money if your team doesn't make it. You can sell them along the way and either make money or lose money, depnending how the season is going. I usually try to get in for under $40. In this case, it all depends on how likely you feel they will win, and how likely you are to go if they do. It's a gamble like anything else.
But it's legit, not a scam.

Yea def. not a scam.. this concept has been around a long time in fact.
After the Arkansas loss in 2007 ticket reserves dropped to $10.. I know a bunch of us took advantage before Pitt beat WVU

Used in 2019.
2 years ago I bought Texas super cheap at the beginning of the season. Sold them when they made the playoffs and got a nice check in the mail from the CFP.

Only problem this year is the game is in Miami. Traditionally Orange bowl ticket prices have been the cheapest on the secondary market of all the major bowls.

Maybe but with this being the Natty I think someone would still come out ahead if their team makes to the game.
CFP would benefit everyone including themselves if they would quit playing the game on a Monday night. No one will ever make me believe that the local economy of the host city is gaining anymore money by keeping teams fans in town over the entire weekend. People will still come in for the same 2-4 days before the game. If they are going, they are going, day of the week won't matter. But they would gain on the TV ratings by playing it on a Saturday night rather than Monday.

Agree if it was Nola, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston and an SEC Team then the tix prices usually jump way up. They were cheap got them first afternoon $130 for lower bowl and $75 for uppers. If LSU makes its I am going with at least 2 and won’t be a problem selling or gifting them. I wouldn’t gouge anybody as I would only sell them to somebody I know. Now if it was Bama tix I would sell them for 20x just to stick it to them lol

After LSU beat Alabama in 2019, LSU RSVPs jumped up to like $700 (which is crazy that Texas is already at $500 this year). Instead, I bought Ohio St, Clemson, Utah, and Oregon all for the same price and got a ticket when Clemson made it.
I made a few hundred bucks last year speculating mostly on Oregon and UGA but they hiked the preseason prices this year so I held off.
Some things to note for newcomers: 1) they take a 20% cut if you sell 2) you can't sell until they open the marketplace in October and 3) if you have multiple RSVPs, the tickets are not guaranteed to be together. You could end up with 4 singles from your 4 RSVPs

That’s one of the biggest changes. I would grab a few different teams in the very beginning for cheap. $500 for Texas right now is crazy!!

Used it for our last SECCG tickets. I got some from LSU and didn’t purchase them though.
