Received a message this morning that my son in law, national guard, is being sent to DC within the next 30 days to "arrest homeless people".

What is the story behind this?

Anyone heard this? Is it true? I find it hard to believe that you can be arrested for simply being homeless.

I haven't been on here in a while and haven't been following politics much at all since my dad passed away & mom came to stay w me.

Please be kind to me. Im just curious what the story is behind this.

The homeless in DC have copies of Epstein’s list. They must be eradicated.

I’ve seen it first hand

Democrat leadership has destroyed that city and trump is embarrassed by the way DC looks so he is cleaning it up and NOT arresting homeless people but MOVING them all to a different location

Whatever you do, don’t ask these questions to the person who sent you this “message” about a family member. I doubt they have any information.

From what I have seen the homeless there are happy to see the national guard there. They said they feel safer. The national guard is not messing with homeless people as a group. They are maybe not allowing people to set up tent encampments maybe!

That’s not how it works

Very rarely are national guardsmen given arrest powers. They normally just assist local cops with security and riot control. They’re going to DC as a deterrent and show of force.

Well. Their political leanings are different than mine. Thats why I was asking here. But >
It seems to me that TD has changed since ive been gone and is leaning more to the left. Am I wrong?

I voted trump twice and this isnt how you treat homeless people in America.

What a huge disappointment this is.

They may be helping to move them somewhere, but they aren't going to be making any arrests.

Even if that is the case, they aren't arresting homeless people for no reason. Just being homeless is not a crime in and of itself.

Some Americans count more than others. Poor Americans don’t count at all. Deport them all.
