Beginner golfer - clubs advice

I was given, for free, some ping eye 2 irons (missing the 5 iron) and they need new grips.
I have the opportunity to buy some takomo 101 clubs 4-pw for $350 with new grips.
For an absolute beginner, which would you recommend I go with?
I am also needing to buy a driver which I plan on buying one used at dicks, Edwin watts, or facebook. Any recommendations on a particular driver for a beginner?

Try the whatnot app. You can find a good deal on a used set or drivers.

Buy the 101s. Anything else you need get from marketplace or callaway preowned. Buy the most forgiving model of driver and woods you can

The takomo 101s are great clubs and would be as good a set as any to learn with. That said don’t discount the eye2s. Though they are very old tech at this point they are still some of the most forgiving and best performing clubs ever made. I have a set that I still play with. Keep in mind that the pings will have traditional lofts and will be a club or a club and a half shorter than the takomos on similar hits.
They will however be very easy to get into the air and very forgiving. Personally I would take that 350 and buy yourself a very forgiving driver and fairway wood, something like a Ping G425 max.
Where are you located?

The takomos were sold out from under me so I guess I’ll be sticking with the ole trusty pings.
