Has anyone ever planted it for a food plot in south Louisiana? If so, how did it do?

You may do better with Bulldog 805. Its developed for lower coastal plain soils

Never planted that variety. Can share that we planted 25 acres of it once and other than not being drought tolerant, it did fine.

I saw they had 805 and was going to look into it also. I appreciate the information.

Anything planted that’s new, it will take them a year or three to get used to it.

1st year I planted stuff at my place the deer didn’t mess with it much.
By year 3 they kept it mowed down.
