I was wondering what the etiquette is like, I want to start my own tailgate and was wondering where is a good spot to start it, if it’s even possible to start fresh now.

That spot on Dalrymple in front of Pentagon always seems like a fun spot. Plenty of shade.

Try to be mindful of OGs spots. Although they should already be setup by the time you get out there, however early that may be

I don't think midgets are allowed on LSU's campus but I could be wrong.

I’ve been in and around that spot a lot, people aren’t offended if you “steal their spot”?

Get your tent skeleton and put it out at 4pm Friday as soon as it’s allowed. If it’s in some hard core “this is my spot” person’s tailgate and they move it before you get back Saturday, just tailgate in whatever spot it was moved to.

It depends on what your expecting right away and on in to the future. If you're looking to make a long term spot, You might need to get there on Friday, setup, and see what happens. One option is to hook up with some established tailgaters and then branch out. Don't be afraid to walk up to tailgaits and express your intentions. MOST tailgaits will welcome you and show you the ropes. I certainly will.

Start out small. Find you a good spot with shade. Each time you go out there, go a little bigger.

How big of a tailgate are you wanting to set up? Do you have a location in mind? Might be a good idea to plan on starting the 2nd game. Use the first game to walk around campus, locate a spot, talk to some where you want to be, etc…
Good luck!
