Congratulations on a great recruiting year, we hope that we get to battle like this for many more.....

Thanks for the info from the sportswriter. It sounds pretty reasonable to me, and it is playing out like I expected. However, I have been wrong many times so far in recruiting
I think Trent just wanted reassurance from the Alabama staff about his role, and they were able to convince him. Who knows what BS Meyer told him on his visit? He probably said that Florida was going to run the Power I next year, while Bama was switching to the run and shoot with Greg McElroy or something equally ridiculous.
LSU and Bama are both much better fits for Richardson's style, and it looks like he prefers Bama. Oh well.

SClary's post was classic....and true
We'll call it the "Tigerbait and Switch"
Also, the irony in all of this is Sentimore's switch assures LSU will beat out Bama in the final rankings. Now to just hold off USC.

USC is losing one of their top players (Burfect), so they can't challenge LSU, even if they get Te'o, XSF, and Telfort.
Bama still has an outside chance if ALL of the chips fall into their place, but I don't see that happening.

The only thing that I really disagree with you on is Patterson. It looks like he is headed to Ole Miss, with Tenn and Bama having outside chances. I have no idea what to make of the Kelly situation. There is a poster who seems to know his family who thinks that he is a Clemson lean at the moment.
Where do you think Myles Jr. will end up?

Well i hear that Tennessee has made a pretty powerful push...LSU seemed to be leading for him with Bama a close second, but I was informed that it would come down to NSD.......
That is why i put Patterson @ 50%, anything less than that is an outside chance, but right now it is a toss up....Ole Miss is on him hard but in the last week there has been some indication out of Patterson's camp that we still have a viable shot.

on some other recruting news, i hear that LSU has made a solid impression on Sam Montgomery and is running a close second to UNC...

they're telling him that they need him because have no QBto throw the ball, so they need a monster running game.

I would not goes as far as to say we have no QB, we will have one that is green, but GMAC does have the gaming tools, we will lean on our running game, but we did that last year and I was very happy about 12-2....

Why are you saying outside chance at Myles? I thought Alabama was the leader. Is it looking like Tennessee now?
Posted on 2/1/09 at 10:30 am to MOT
I think BOL was the only site claiming that Bama led for Myles, but they claim to lead for every recruit.

I'm saying that LSU is leading for Myles and Bama is second, although UT is making a serious push late....As for the BOL quote that Bama leads for everyone, simply not true, if you would have read my previous post you would have seen that..The Myles camp is playing their cards very close to the vest, if he ends up in Tuscaloosa it will be somewhat of a shock.

Monk, by the way this was my reply on another thread about Greg Reid and a Bama poster being delusional about his friend speaking to Greg Reid.
