I just bought a house on the southern end of the lake. Can someone tell me where I should be concentrating and what lures I should be throwing.

No advice on fishing. My in laws have a plot on the lake and are about to start their build. The seawall is done. I think should be good to go by next summer. Looking forward to getting out there at some point.

It is amazing the number of homes that are being developed on this lake. Seems like 70% of the residents are from Louisiana that I've met so far. Still trying to figure out the lake though.

Is this Big Bay Lake in Hattiesburg?

I looked at a place in there in ‘21 and was real close to making an offer.

Me too.

There’s some nice places on that lake.

As for fishing, I’ve heard it can be tough.

Also, did they ever build a marina? That was the reason I didn’t buy there. Didn’t want to haul gas cans all over the place…

They are currently constructing a community pool on the north end and I'm told they were going to construct a marina with gas/food in 2026.

Community pool is nice but really not what I think they need imo. At least not something I care about.

Back in 2018, They told me they were going to build a marina, store, restaurant etc but it never happened.

I suspect that COVID and supply chain issues killed it off along with the lack of constructed homes. Now the place has buildings going up everywhere so I can see a 2026 break ground date. Agree with you on the pool.
