I thought I should ask this board rather than just buying the first US Golf junior set I saw at the PGA Superstore in Katy.
Any recommendations? He’s just starting out but has been REALLY into it.

The US Kids set is a pretty legit set for that age. Unless you want to spring for the Ping Prodi-Gs. They give you one free shaft upgrade when they grow. But if he’s 7 I’d honestly stick with the US Kids until he gets a bit older.
All 4 of my children play golf and all 4 started with a US Kids set.. I think a full bag is like 5-600 bucks now. Pings will run you a considerable amount more

Kid USA clubs are the way to go. Once he gets bigger you can trade them for a bigger size. Make sure you get one with the grip trainer, it puts his hands in the correct spot on the club.

Uskids is best choice imo

You can probably find good used USKids clubs.
Kids grow fast and change.
Do not cut down adult clubs.
Weight matters.

US Kids 100%, if they advance, Ping Prodi G which includes one re-shaft as they grow.

At 7 years old beginner Us kids ultra lights, they make it easy with height system.
For a more advanced junior any of the following, us kids TS series, Flynn golf, And ping Prodi G.

Son is 10. I live in the Houston area, so usually have a robust set of options on craigslist/facebook marketplace. Found a set of Cobra Junior clubs (Driver, 3w, Hybrid, 7, 9, sw, putter, and bag) in great condition on there for $130, but had plenty of options with some even cheaper than that. Played his first 9 holes on Saturday with them. If he sticks with it, we will look to invest in a set he can grow further with.
