It looks like they will make it along with maybe 2 other SEC teams. All of which will get nocked out in the 1st or 2nd round, including LSU

Please don't even think for one second this is gonna be a final 4 team. Look, I'm loving the way they are playing and very excited about the future of LSU basketball. But the SEC this year is just an average conf with no team having a legit chance of making it deep in the tourny.

We all know that LSU is lacking a true player in the post. I thought we would struggle defensively in that area, but I think it's even worse on the offensive side. Not having someone who can take high percentage shots when the 3's and long 2's arent falling is leading to some long scoring droughts. I think LSU is going to have a great SEC record and will likely have a decent seeding in the tourny, but expecting them to win more than 2 games in the tourny sure is asking for a lot.

if CJ found his game we're in good shape.

I will make a bet right now that the SEC gets at least 4 teams. The SEC almost always gets 5 or 6 teams and I can't remember the last time the SEC got less than 5. Suggesting that the SEC will get 3 teams (or less) is laughable.

they could get 4. But no way are they gna get 5 or six. I'm telling you the conf is really bad this year.

They say that every year.

They will definitely get 4. I can easily see 5 (UK, UF,Tenn, SC, and LSU). If all those teams have the resume for it, they will get in.

I'd say we go 10-6 in the SEC. Overall 23-9 - win one game in the SEC tourney and finish 24-10. We get a #8-9 seed.

You think we'll lose 5 of the next 10?

You think we go 5-5 here on out in the SEC? I think if we do that, we are back on the hot seat and get in as an 11 or 12 seed

Has it been that long since I heard sports goobs saying that the SEC was establishing themselves as a basketball conference? In 2006 LSU and UF were in the Final 4, UT came on strong recently and UK is always good. This year it is just down.

I think we lose to UF and UK and probably slip up to an SEC West team. We go 12-4 in the SEC, go to the semi's in the tourney and we are in it baby!

Who would have thought this team would be in a position of where they are today...17-4, 5-1.

The remaining games...
2/4: @ Georgia
2/8: Bama
2/11: @ Miss St.
2/14: Ole Miss
2/18: @ Arkansas
2/21: Auburn
2/24: Florida
2/28: @ Kentucky
3/4: Vandy
3/7: @ Auburn

If...this team continues playing like it has I see them getting at least another 6-7 wins and Trent Johnson getting the SEC Coach of the Year award.
