How did the A's end up in The Giants AAA park? They are moving to Vegas and their AAA team is already in Vegas, why not play in their park?

This was the deal they made but you make a good point about the Las Vegas AAA park. I never heard a discussion about that.
It is possible that the players were able to keep their homes in the Bay Area for three years while they commute to West Sac for the games.
I’m glad they are here. I get to see the Astros play in my area.

There was a discussion. The park was deemed unfit for MLB. And its too damn hot for outdoor MLB in vegas

unsurprisingly, the answer is money.
I can’t remember all the details, but basically
(1) staying in NorCal allows A’s to keep a huge chunk of their local TV revenue and (2) free rent in West Sacramento - other than paying for stadium/facilities upgrades - thanks to deal w/ the Rivercats owner.

How available are tickets in Sacramento? I'd imagine they're hard to get in a 10k seat stadium

They are averaging 9500 attendance. Same as the Rays

The point was though that there is a nice stadium in Summerlin and a AAA team plays there... outside all summer too.

That's more than the A's & Rays attendance at their old stadiums added together!
