Seems like possibly a much more streamlined process in dealing with your doctor and or multiple doctors.

Anything that simplifies the processes of referrals and coordination between specialists, is a welcome thought.
It's not as if there aren't already databases full of our private and confidential information that the gov just sits on. The difference here, is that it could potentially be used for something beneficial and cost-saving.

Hope it's free or saves me money, because I'm not investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in some bullshite I'll never recoup. Especially considering my reimbursement is less than it was in 2005. I'll quit and just do industrial medicine and cash only.
I actually hope it's good. EMR's have not been designed to help providers be more efficient, give better care, coordinate care. It's the opposite. They can give me one with voice recognition that integrates with everyone else and our shitty internet can support it while taking care of my coding and billing, I'm in. But if it don't make me money and make my life much easier, I'm out. I'm tired of the bullshite.

Nothing makes the bullshite harder than all the carved out markets & plans & prior auth requirements & don’t get me started on Medicare advantage.
I know people just generally hate regulation, but commercial insurance is one thing that could use a bit more regulation and standardization.
It’s a convoluted mess for providers, administrators, AND their customers/policy holders — by design.
