Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have a Whirlpool french door refrigerator with the freezer at the bottom.

Lately we have water pooling and freezing at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment under the bottom drawer. Left unchecked, it will fill to the point of leaking onto the floor.

I've gone through the whole clean the rubber grommet and pour hot water down the defrost drain suggestions I've found online. But, the thing is that's for the freezer compartment. Our issue is in the refrigerator compartment. I don't see any kind of water dripping down the walls or anywhere else and the rest of the shelves are dry. I have no idea where the water is coming from.

I see these in both back corners of the refrigerator compartment but, they are higher than the rest of the bottom so, doesn't make sense that it would be a drain.

As an added bonus, yesterday I noticed water spraying out of this hose on the top of the outside of the refrigerator. I'm assuming this feeds water to the ice maker. Honestly didn't even know the hose was there.

Pretty sure I got the answer from an online expert.

Going to be replacing the water inlet valve and the icemaker fill tube.

is it hotter in the top of the fridge?

I'm betting that it's a fan in the inside back of the fridge.

Amazon link

I have GE Profile and have had to replace this fan twice in the 6-8yrs we have had it.

I have the exact same problem with my Whirlpool 3 door. I'm following this to see if your fix works.

Worked perfectly. No more water pooling in the fridge. And ice maker works correctly.

Hope it helps. It’s a fairly simple fix. It took more time to clear off and remove the shelves than to replace parts.

Is it a dual or single evaporater? If dual there is a drain in the fridge. If not this is often caused by bad door seals and condensation building up.

This model has a water dispenser inside the fridge (sometimes next to a button) ? That's the only way i would think inlet valve causing water in fridge. Then if you have a dispenser then yeah replace inlet valve.

This what the tech said.

The fill tube for the ice maker has a leak, likely due to freezing and pressure buildup, causing water to pool in the refrigerator compartment.
