Gig bag prices are stupid now. And I don’t trust them. I’d look for a deal on a used hard shell or poly foam case. My Roadrunner poly foam is great but they quit making them. I use my hardshell Fender cases most of the time because all 5 of my basses are FSO and will fit.
How’s that Yamaha? Get good Pbass tones with it?

Thanks for the info!
Prices are kinda crazy and don't want to overpay for an inferior case.
My thought was, i am the only one that would be handling the instrument here and there so really no need for the hard case and their prices.
Torn between a rigid soft with backstraps or the rectangle with handle/shoulder strap.
As for the bass, was bought new sight unseen and can not be more happy.
Tone variations are incredible. Definitely would call it a P/J and then some.

Mono is probably the only soft cases I'd trust, and they cost more than a molded case.
I store guitars in soft cases (I've been given tons of them as well as getting them when I guy guitars) in a closet or corner but if I have a gig and they need to leave the house I usually put them in hard cases... but I have some Enki and Gator dual guitar vaults mostly for that...
