I am not sure if this belongs here or on the SEC Rant but Former MSU Head Coach Croom will be coaching RB's for the Rams.

Didn't see this one coming.

Maybe he'll teach Jackson how to shut his fricking mouth once in a while and play the game.

I guess the Rams RBs will be "moving in the right direction"

(FYI, that refers to how the media rationalizes for black coaches who have 3-9 records)

I actually think he did a great job at MSU, they are night and day improved over the previous regime....until Croom knew that he was fired and just gave up this year. Good luck to the new guy that is gonna get canned - u just can't win at mrs. state in the current SEC.

If he had made changes to his horrific offense during the offseason a year ago, he might still be the HC at State. Alas, he didn't and it caught up to him. In 5 years we never cracked the top 100 for division 1-A in total offense while he was the HC. How many schools would put up with that for 5 years? I know LSU wouldn't.

his stubbornness to avoid the option killed them

MSU is a perfect place for the option (in whatever form they could make work with their OL and RB)

At least it has worked before. We ran that during the John Bond/Emory Bellard days.
