An app for your phone would be Navionics
If you have a boat with a GPS unit then get a mapping chip

Tell me how this works, please. Is it a good option even for a boat with a GPS?

I suppose its a good thing to have but if the boat has a GPS unit that less that 20 yrs old then thats going to be a better navigating tool.

Get GPS Tracks app. Works just like onboard unit with plenty edits to name and date all ur tracks. It’s free

I actually like the Deep Dive app for fishing. Great mapping, weather information, and other terrific tools that actually will put you in the right spots. I've been very impressed with their AI features

Will be dependent on which GPS unit you have. I have a Lowrance and have been happy with my Standard Mapping chip.
