Mathews intends to play college football in the SEC and has cut suitors from outside the conference.
His stop at LSU was very memorable.
Statement on June 25th.
“They made me feel like a priority,” Mathews said. The Tigers have built a reputation for sending receivers to the NFL and that legacy isn’t lost on him. “You look at what they’ve done with guys like Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. It’s hard not to picture yourself in that lineage.”

If I'm a stud WR, the thing I want the most is a great QB.

I would consider Nuss a stud. He will be at the Heisman ceremony this year.

Auburn making a move here with the yellow wood sounds like.
A&M side seems to to think it's between them and Auburn with us in 3rd. Also trying to flip Keys with NIL.
Our side feels that we are in pole position.

A&M is delusional if they think a receiver from Mississippi is going to sign there. They are as awful at developing that position as anyone in the country. It’s between us and Auburn.

They signed McKinnley Jackson from George County and it's only 20 minutes from Leakesville to Lucedale.

I’ll never forget coach o taking the staff to visit McKinley’s grama at the nursing home. Jimbo gets wind and takes his staff to visit the next weekend.
