This man better be the biggest priority for LSU basketball recruiting. We already let some big time legacy recruits go to other schools, like Jabari Smith Jr.

He was never really in play for LSU. And that was at a time Wade was still LSU's coach. Jabari Sr. was a JUCO transfer from Atlanta who only played 2 seasons at LSU.
Marcus Spears on the other hand is a BR native who has remained a vocal supporter of LSU. That doesn't mean is son is a lock for LSU (far from it). But he has a much deeper connection with LSU than Smith, Jr.
He's a 2027 recruit. By that time LSU will have:
(A) Moved on from McMahon; or
(B) Improved enough to be more enticing to blue chip prospects
