Which returning CORE would you prefer to build around?

QB1 : 5th year senior; 2nd year starter; 5700 career yards; in 2024, 4000+ yards 29 TDs, 12 INTs in the SEC
RB1 : 5-9 210lbs True sophomore, 10.3 100 m speedster
753 yards, 5.4 per, car. 6TDs
260 yards receiving. 9.5 per rec. 2TDs
RB2 : 6ft 230 lbs. JR powerback, proven truck stick capabilities and top end speed.
WR 1: Junior, 60 Rec almost 900 yds; 14.5 yard average; 5 TDS and a 100 Kickoff return for a TD
Against an SEC schedule
WR 2 : Elite speed averaging 20+ yards per reception. 3 TDs in 2 games to close out 2024; battle through injuries.

Both cores come together to form the 2025 LSU roster !!
The transfer class on its own would form a strong returning core, but LSU is adding that to an already stacked group!!

It’s always been about scheme and execution.
If the names and specifics don’t matter. Why enter the transfer portal and spend NIL money? The point is that our transfer class is productive and experienced and would be sufficient to form a core on its own!!
However, it will be combined with an already talented core!!

Name a team whose offensive AND defensive transfer class is better than LSU?
There are few teams
whose transfer class additions could form a returning core that would rival LSU’s and few teams that have the returning production that LSU has.
I simply started a post highlighting that these two legit cores are combining.
Why is this hard to grasp?

Dude you could play the ‘look at our measurable and combine numbers’ with any of the top teams in the SEC. You think LSU is the only roster that’s full of HS superstars and guys who are big, strong, and fast??
Fans for the most part lack any sort of perspective about any other team except for THEIR team. This thread and your responses are a perfect example of that.

Why all the aggression? Dude was just trying to come up with an offseason thread that gave us a different way to see/understand the depth that LSU has built through recruiting wins in High School and the portal. And you're right every team has athletes, and all fan bases feel very optimistic right now. But the stats are interesting and it took some work to put it together. Thanks kicks for an interesting take. For those of you that don't find it interesting, why not just move along instead of going in the hot with the very first reply.? Just my O2

I'm not sure what you are getting at. I'm not saying that LSU has a bad roster or that they didn't do great in the portal. All I'm saying is that if you go through the 2 deep and pick out the best possible stats/narratives for each player on a team, you can probably make it look pretty impressive. That's literally all I said.

Clemson is returning like 85% of their production. That's arguably more valuable that overhauling half of your roster with portal guys.
