Heading to Holly Springs, MS this upcoming weekend for an engagement party. Coming from Nola and going up 55. Wondering if there is a lunch spot along the way that’s worth stopping at. TIA

If you’re willing to take a slight detour to Vicksburg, try Walnut Hills. It’s in an old house and every is served on a lazy Susan- green beans, turnip greens, macaroni & cheese, coleslaw, creamed corn, cheese broccoli, fried okra, cheese grits, black-eyed peas, rice and gravy plus a basket of cornbread and biscuits. And of course fried chicken.

There are plate lunches, but the round table (lazy Susan) was done away with several years back. It’s a shame, because although expensive, it was nice to have the choice of all the meats and vegetables. The food is still top notch though.

Dinner Bell in McComb still has the lazy susan, pretty much the same menu. It's decent enough food.
