ULTY - $0.0952 - paid weekly
MSTY - $1.2382 - paid monthly

Here are some other ETF's that pay weekly dividends if you want to get dividends every day of the business week.

Monday - MAGY
Tuesday - PLTW
Wednesday - NVII
Thursday - ULTY
Friday - YBTC

Of course there are others for each day.

Is that 1.2382 per share per month?

Some of these covered call strategies have gotten out of hand. Calling the premiums a dividend only adds to confusion about a product many don’t understand in the first place.

I get the idea of covered calls as a hedge, but I’m starting to see people that are putting everything they own into these strategies - in particular the single stock strategies - who are clueless about what they’re doing.

if only it were that simple.

$1.2382 is the lowest distribution it’s paid in its existence, and over time it’s going to continue to lower as most of the distribution is return of capital.

The question is whether or not it can distribute money faster than the NAV falls (MSTY has done so but it’s a relatively short existence).

I agree, but look at ULTY. The share price has been holding good since march.

ULTY - $0.0952 - paid weekly

yes it is always listed on my SCHWAB account

ex-div is tomm. get paid friday.

each week like clockwork. just have to watch for any theta decay and adjust accordingly. lately it has been ok. it is why you need atrading mindset messing with these.

i do the same with BITO albeit i only buy BITO when it gets around 18 a share. none of these are set it and forget it or you might get your arse burned. watch them close.

right these are not real dividends.

strange indeed and many have jumped on this. many do not like holding anything considered volatile so they are buying these weekly payers at close day before ex-div and setting stops to get out asap if it drops any.

These ETFs are going to erase more savings than the meme stocks could ever dream of. The fact people are blindly dripping the returns will catch people off guard with the insidious decay.

I got into MSTY before the last dividend at 23.46…here we are at $22, I’m up .04 and the next dividend shrank to $1.23. I guess this works if enough Finance Bros on YouTube can recruit new buyers, while everyone reinvests the distributions. But, it’s obvious that while the upside narrows every month, the bottom may drop out at any time.

I have about 650 shares of MSTY, 200 FBTC and 580 MSTR.

I anticipate a drop in price as would normally be expected, but I don't have my "Dividends" being reinvested, I want to manage the funds and purchase when I choose.

I have purchased most of mine below $21.

I expect BTC and therefore MSTR and MSTY are about to go on a rip.

I think this is the only way you can be successful.

I'm in several YieldMax ETF's and am constantly buying and selling when it makes sense.

I've "made" $3k since Memorial Day on between $20-30k, if I sold out today.

I don't like the idea of just buying a fund and letting it drip, too risky IMO.

they do not always drop on the ex div date. i have been scouting this for quite some time. these are not like regular "dividends".

ETA: looks like i may have been wrong and seen chart inaccurately. ugh.

same. you basically have to study the patterns of each of these ETFs and see how to navigate. i am trying to strip. if that fails i will have to only buy when down like i do BITO. issue here is we are walking a thin line as some have very small windows to buy a dip when "down" like with ULTY. issue is this happens sometimes all in one day as these use small ranges.

You do not want a huge dip because then due to decay it may not recover. These things will really test your trading skills.

YM is my first foray into ETF's so I don't know anything about Roundhill.

QDTE and XDTE are nice funds. Moderate yield, so more manageable NAV decay.

I saw someone say the fund doesn’t drop on ex-date. I think that’s absolutely wrong. It will always drop by the dividend being paid out. Now it may recover quickly, but it always drops.

Since ULTY restructured, it has been such a steady performer. Really love the work they’re putting into it.

Also, for those not paying attention this week. You get your MSTY & ULTY on Monday, the 7th and then another ULTY on the 12th. Next week is juicy.

what is your opinion? will it stay in a small steady sidewAYS MOVEMENT OR decay and drop like previously?

i may have to adjust and use my BITO strategy in these funds. buy at a certain low as it fluctuates point so i do not have to keep buying and selling but of course have a bottom stop loss for protection. keep buying dips and hope i do not get stopped out.

If it fluctuated from $6.15-$6.30, and paid me $0.0945 for the next several years, I'd be as happy as a pig in shite.

I've got about 2,000 MSTY, 7,285 ULTY, and 400 CONY.

Right now I take my divs, put 35% into SGOV for quarterly taxes, manage margin, buy 25% more ULTY with that remainder, and then collect profits.
