Has anybody seen any this year? Trees were loaded last year but haven’t seen any this year.

Saw much fewer this year. Only thing I can think is the snow storm killed nesting pattern? If that’s even the right terminology

Could be. If burrowed into the ground and that hard freeze killed them.

Doubt this is the case as we were below zero for a few days here with 5-6" of snow on the ground.

Where would one find a tree to buy? I'd like to plant one at our home on the northshore. Would be great to have bait for kids to use.

Tons of information, and people selling seeds, trees, frozen and live worms, and even the pupa.

I have a bunch of viable seeds I collected last year that I'll give away. I sprouted some last fall and again this spring. I'll share my email with anyone that wants to back channel me. Basically mail me a self addressed stamped envelope and I'll mail it back to you with 10-20 seeds. Enough to start a few trees...

They just changed the name to "Everything Catalpa"

Like I said, I have plenty of seeds. I'll give them away if you send me a SASE.

I don't even use potting soil. I just use topsoil from my yard. Bury them about 1/4 inch and keep them moist. They break the surface in about a week.
