May have different setting selections for airplay/handoff, phone/calls on other devices, iCloud Drive/contacts, iCloud Drive/phone & FaceTime, and/or if one of has set up a different iCloud account for FaceTime (should only affect facetime calls logged but who knows).

I would think the settings would affect both, but there could be some weird combination that still syncs her call log while not syncing yours back to hers.
