Hate catchers being on a knee and sprawled out

How are you going to defend anything or throw a runner out. That stance cost us a steal and a passed ball.

completely agree. How do we let a runner with two outs steal 2nd on a fast ball down the middle...without even a throw? Come on, we have to be better than that.

We hate catchers doing it but can’t figure out why umps are being fooled by these low pitches…hmmm

Not saying it wasn’t. Pitchers are perfect and especially college pitchers. How can you get to and block a badly missed throw when your arse in on the ground, knee on the ground and a heel completely extended? You have no movement. But why would you do that with a runner on in general? If I see that, I’m sending any base runner to steal every bag.

When you stop having catchers steal over 300 pitches a year then that will end.

90% of catchers won’t wrangle that pitch from Noot

Do some research on knee-down vs crouched. I think you’ll be surprised.
