Assuming LSU gets in, how much should I expect to pay for decent tickets? Omaha rookie here.

$500-600/ticket for decent tickets. You'll mostly be competing with other LSU fans. Really good tickets will be $750+.
Coastal Carolina will eliminate you having to compete with the opponent's fans. They'll have more than the Hurricanes had in '96 at Rosenblatt but not much more.

Don’t listen to this guy. I was there in 2023 and didn’t pay anywhere near those prices, and that was against Florida.
Eta: I just looked back. I was in sections 120 and 104 for the championship series and paid <$250/ticket each game.

Sat in section 113 for Game 3 of the Championship series. $6,440 was the total price for 8 tickets. Sat in section 105 for Game 2 and price was $4,530 for 8 tickets. Sat in section 119 for Game 1 and paid $4,720 for 8 tickets.
I would listen to me because I have receipts.
Maybe you could buy singles for $150 in those sections but I needed 8 together or close by and that was the best prices I could find.

My receipts say that you overpaid.
I was only buying 2-3 together, depending on the day.

My advice is to not buy too early. Ticket prices were always lower a few hours before the game than a few days before.
I also tested this this past weekend with the LSU/Arkansas game.
The day before the game, cheapest ticket between the dugouts was $297 (sec 105).
A few hours before the game it was down to $192 (sec 118).

Thanks for posting that I meant to check before Arky game and see about a price drop. But forgot.

You’re correct on not buying early. Prices almost always seem to drop.
The two of you are trying to compare apples & oranges. I bought 6 tickets together for Game 3 in 2023. These were a few sections past the LSU dugout. I bought them the night before. I paid $500/ticket. I could have purchased pairs for half that price. Buying 1-4 tickets is much different than buying 5 or more.
Me … I’m never buying tickets a few hours before a game. Money isn’t that tight and I like not worrying about anything ticket related the day of the game.

Following this thread because I’m contemplating making the trip to Omaha for the first time if we make it to the championship series

Same here. I just looked and outfield seats at the cheapest around $256 each. Just curious if people think that those prices would come down some by game day

Very good point. My situation was much closer to Cautious Tiger than the Other Poster. My friend said he would fly a group of us from Destin to Omaha if I could secure the tickets. There was no way I was going to split up the group and try to go on the cheap. I bought the 8 best tickets (that were all together) I could get for each game. I seriously doubt that I could have found good tickets for less expensive if I checked 2 hours before the game but there was no damn way I was going to wait until the day of the game.
If you're looking for 2 tickets and don't mind waiting until 2-3 hours before the game, there's a chance you can save some money.
I've sold tickets at the last minute on several occasions but have never bought them at the last minute. I now know that I'm not a Subject Matter Expert at buying 2-3 tickets for the Championship Series of the College World Series on game day.

Does anybody know how game 3 tickets work on secondary market websites?
If the series doesn’t go to 3 games, does StubHub, Seek Geek, etc refund the game 3 purchase if the game won’t happen? Or is the buyer shite out of luck if they buy game 3 tickets but the series ends in 2?
