Gatlinburg in November

Not my favorite spot, but we are going around the end of November. Looking for hiking recommendations; moderate-easy difficulty because we will have our 1 year old with us. I'm looking into getting a baby hiking carrier so any suggestions on brands would also be appreciated. Excited to be able to start getting back into hiking in the parks since the baby will be old enough to toss on my back and get after it. TIA

I think you can drive to a trailhead off of 441 and hike towards Clingman's Dome pretty easily. It looks like it's called Kuwohi now.

Clingmans Dome Road is closed from early December until late March each year due to winter conditions. The Clingmans Dome Observation Tower remains open, but you can only access it by hiking.
Clingmans may be closed already by the end of November. IF so, it's a LONG hike because the parking lot will be closed.

We hiked Ramsey Cascades Trail back in November 2023. Beautiful trail and rewarding, definitely not easy. But if you get there at sunrise and start early, it is well worth it.

If you stop at the ranger station, those guys are very helpful and can point you in the right direction.
Laurel Falls Trail is the trail we did with our kids when they were young.
The trail is paved asphalt the whole way up to the waterfall.
There were even a few families pushing strollers up this trail. (I don't recommend that)
Look Rock Trail is another kid friendly trail

One of the most popular hiking trails in the smoky Mountains is Laurel Falls Trail. This paved hiking trail is not far from Gatlinburg. It takes you 1.3 miles to see the 80-foot tall Laurel Falls, then 1.3 miles to get back to the trailhead. You’ll experience a slow, steady climb to the waterfall for a total of about 314 feet in elevation gain. Though the path is paved, the pavement is rough and uneven with some steep sections. There is also a footbridge with steps when you reach the waterfall. For these reasons, this trail is not recommended for wheelchairs.

An easy paved hiking trail in the Smoky Mountains is Look Rock Tower Trail. This trail is only one mile round trip and is considered easy, but some give it a moderate rating because the path can be steep. You’ll gain about 170 feet in elevation in just a short distance. Look Rock Tower Trail takes you from a parking area off the Foothills Parkway up to Look Rock Tower. This observation tower provides 360-degree scenic views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains as far as 40 miles on a clear day. You’ll be able to go up to the viewing platform of the tower but not up the stairway to the enclosed glass observation room.

Used this one on a few hikes with the littles and was easy to use for both myself and the wife.

As far as what hike to go to, I will defer to the resident experts and also recommend making a quick stop at the visitor centers to point you in the right direction. They can tell you what is currently open, level of difficulty, length of hike...
