I am looking to go play next week. They are aerating the course June 6-12 and the warning is to prepare for "rough and sandy" conditions. Is it a waste of money to be playing this course under these conditions, or do you think it won't be an issue?

My Two Cents - - TPC Louisiana is a somewhat boring layout. The things that makes up for it is the pristine conditions. Absent those conditions - - I would skip.

Is it a full course aeration or greens only?

I'd say depending on what the charge is during this time. If it's anything north of $65 (and I'm sure it is), I'd pass.

If you dont really care what your score is and dont care about putting then you should be fine

I played there only once a couple of years ago after Zurich when they punched & sanded the greens, I enjoyed it, but my feelings are similar to this.
Fees were reduced from normally about $250 to half that around $125, and it was with a vendor, so I had absolutely no reason to not play. While I did enjoy it, after doing it once I don't think I'd pay $100+ a second time to not truly be able to enjoy a course. If you're not worried about $125, then I'd save that extra $125 and wait to go after the greens are ready and pay the full amount. But it's not a course that I'm personally willing to play & pay multiple times at anything over about $175.
But if you also are not sold on it being worthy of $250ish, then play it now at $125 to be able to experience it at least once

The fees aren’t 250 for Louisiana residents, so they weren’t reduced when you went, that’s what they always are. And you can play on a weekday for less than a $100
