This time of year, you can catch as many break and catfish as you like.

Its a very open lake. No place to get out of the wind. If its windy, go to the mounds.

Bass fishing is absolutely abysmal. Lake fishes very small. Alot of dead water. Very crowded with perch jerkers. Catfish are abundant and apparently perch are too. If bass fishing steer clear

This time of the year, you’re better off catfishing.
The perch is tougher right now and the bass fishing is non existent

The mounds are about 20-30 minutes from the lake. Poverty Point reservation is north of Waverly about 15 minutes. The lake is north of Delhi about 5 minutes. Bass and white perch are big. Black bear has a nice course and decent restaurant
