My thoughts on all the regional upsets.

You want to know why I think they have had so many upsets? Travel ball. Hear me out. Since its inception travel ball has made the sport more competitive with more reps, more tournaments and more coaching, these days 9 year olds have private hitting coaches, although I totally despise what travel ball has become, it has had the by product of producing more collegiate capable kids, more talent and finite roster spots at big schools means overflow into the smaller schools so their talent levels have gone up drastically.

Not everyone can go to big name schools anymore. There’s got to be an impact .
