Tonight the staff outside of William's was trash. This is the story of tonight’s game.
Velo, pitch break, and size are amazing things to have. But at the end of the day you’re facing college hitters who can lay off a 100 out of the zone.
The good news is they get to play a game tomorrow. Don’t know what will happen. My guess is LSU doesn’t have the same sort of night they had tonight on the mound.
I wonder if yeskie makes the pitches run for performances like this?
Jones is in a slump but all it takes is one at bat to get hot. The kid can do it. He can hit he’s done it for 3 years to this point.
Dylan Crews was hitting below .150 at some point this year for the nationals. Jones is not crews but my point is that hitters can find struggles.
Tomorrow start Evans, then go to Cowan, and then let eyanson come in for the save. Play the game clean and I think you win easily tomorrow

It seemed like today was a throw away game for some reason. Evans and Cowan have been far and away better than any other pitchers we have beside the aces. We're in great shape pitcher wise to take care of business tomorrow. I just wonder why he waited.

Jay wants to have Cowan and Evans available to seal the win. If we had taken a lead later in the game I am sure one of them would have pitched, but that didn’t happen.
Noot and Shores have not been this bad recently, so it wasn’t a crazy idea to start Noot and go to shores.
This is still a war of attrition, they are now going into their 5th game
in 4 days. we are going into our 4th and we still have 2 of our best pitchers available.

Agree. I thought those 2 were a good call today, especially after what we saw the last month or so of the season from them. They've been pitching very well as of late and I wouldn't have thought a team like Little Rock would give them so many issues. Although, the main problems were self inflicted with the command/walks.
It's amazing to me we have pitchers at this level, at this school that can't find the strike zone so consistently. That's something I'd expect from high schoolers, not players that have been in our program for a few years like Noot and Shores.
