The problem is that Johnson would have to swallow his pride and admit that he made a mistake with Simpson.

These posts are so dumb.

You have no idea what the approach is. You have no idea what the game plan is or what the scouting report says.

We've had a top offense in America for 3 straight years and have been good, not great, this year.

You people have got to stop with the "we need a hitting coach" nonsense. It will never happen. Jay Johnson is the hitting coach and he's regarded as one of the best hitting coaches in America for a reason.

Pitch selection is fine. But I’ve seen a bunch of guys roll over on a fastball with two strikes and hit a pull side ground ball. Two strike approach is shite right now. Need somebody to let the ball get deep and go the other way.

What are you talking about? The guy who was director of baseball ops for the national title team?
