Interesting perspective on the recruiting saga of these Bastrop players.

Not sure if you have actually seen him in person, but he isn't 5'10. Mabye he was at some point in High School, but he is a legitimate 6'1 now. Not that any of that matter. Actually, he is around the same size as a quarterback they just recruited out of Cypress Ridge, but Mackey is probably ten pounds heavier. You might have heard of the guy, Russell Sheppard?

Randall is one of the best Qb's I have every seen in person. He just had a great year at EMCC and is set to enroll at Ole Miss in Aug. His grades are good and he his doing everything that he is required to do!

I agree totally RamFan. I saw him play probably 30 times in his high school career and his talent level is off the charts. It's just another example of how much of a joke the "star" system is. Don't get me wrong, Rueben is a great athlete, but he is not Randall Mackey. Also, Mackey is BY FAR the most misunderstood high school player I have ever came across. It really is great to see him doing so well at EMCC. Nutt knows he is going to get a huge steal.

Shep is 6'1.5" barefoot.
And Mackey is said to be playing another position at Ole Miss so I'm not sure how that will work out. There were a lot of problems with him at quarterback, despite his great ability. He had trouble calling the plays in the huddle.

I watched both of them their whole career at Bastrop.

No. I just actually saw all these players play, unlike 95 percent of the knowitall's on this message board. Just being truthful.
