Back from a mini ban and am up in Maine this week, lots of French influence, even talking to a Landry who’s family has been here since the great disruption.

I been to Charleston a bunch, looks a little like New Orleans, and Houston oil field baws have gotten the gumbo right down around Laporte, but….

We all know there’s no place like what we have. Shitty roads worse corruption and humidity that’s even make Biden double time it inside to the AC…but what’s the closest thing to South La you’ve experienced…food culture outdoors etc. ???

Ps..sunny 73 and low humidity here, bout to have a lobsta roll

The food wont be close anywhere you go, but as far as people and landscape id say Michigan. Humid as frick during the summer because its surrounded by water, they have swamps, Detroit and New Orleans are basically sister cities, people are eerily similar. Out of all the places I've been its the closest thing to Louisiana if you factor out the cold as frick winter IMO.

Coastal south carolina south Georgia.

But overseas... Indonesia. It's ratchet coastal living with a little too much crime, shitty roads, but everyone is smiling their asses off.

Duvall St in Key West is basically Bourbon Street except it’s clean and there’s almost no riff raff, you can even walk the back alleys and it’s safe
