Have a 9 hour layover in Qatar coming up. Has anyone done the Transit Tour? Is it worth it/enjoyable or would we be better off getting a longer nap in one of the lounges?

ETA: mostly looking to see if anyone has done the 3ish hour transit tour and your thoughts on it. Thanks!

I wonder if any of that tour shows you were the Hamas king pins live in Doha, a la Map to the Stars in LA?

Unless you have longue access, I'd get out of the airport in most countries. Istanbul's lounge can make a similar layover pretty comfy, but I have never flown Qatar for an obvious reason.

I’ve done the city transit tour. You have to go through security and they stamp your passport with a daily pass, takes a good bit of time. They then load you on a bus and you see the marina, some big outdoor mall area that is pretty cool and then the bazaar area which is crazy. You see the palace and other sites in the city while on the bus. It’s a good way to kill a long layover in Doha, the airport there is also pretty awesome

Had an 8 hour layover a few years ago. We enjoyed the business class lounge and everything it offered.

Thank y’all! Watched a couple of YouTube vids as well and think I’m gonna try and go do the tour right after we land and then go to the lounge for a few hours and get a shower and meal before the next flight
