Does anyone have advice on cleaning a deer mount?
Wife had her first buck mounted years ago and we are moving. It’s pretty dusty.

I’ve always heard a barely damp cloth will get the dust off and that’s it.
Nothing else.

My taxidermist recommended spraying “Windex” on a paper towel and lightly wiping it. That has worked well for me

Wipe down with a swiffer "dry" duster going from head downward NOT against the way the hair is flowing.

After dusting. Lightly put some plain unscented baby oil on a paper towel and wipe mount down, again in the direction the hair is lying down. A light coat will deter bugs and help repel the dust.

Apply some baby oil to the antlers as well.
