I just got a blackstone and giving my first tip at hibachi tonight. I have chicken, shrimp and steak along with fried rice and noodles. Any tips?

TIA

Cook the rice yesterday.

I like a Bachan's bbq/light soy combo for my fried rice. Make sure you have good butter and pleny garlic. Get a good steam (dont burn yourself), scrape to get the sticky residue off.

Most versatile single piece of backyard cooking equipment. Cook often, cover it and enjoy it.

Use room temp eggs, not cold right out of the refrigerator.

Don't put someone's eye out trying to toss a shrimp into their mouth.

Don't burn your house down with rice wine fire.

YouTube will have plenty of videos if you are trying to get authentic.

If you aren’t worried about authenticity, just cook and don’t worry about the other crap. I cooked it earlier this week. I used cold eggs and freshly cooked rice and it was great.

How I do mine:

Cook diced onion, set aside. Cook egg, set aside. Add rice and frozen peas and carrots. Season (salt, pepper, garlic). Add soy sauce. Cook then add in egg and onion. Set aside.

Add meat, brown. Then I add teriyaki sauce and keep cooking.

That’s all I do and it’s tasty. You can add butter to the rice if you want.

Try the frozen stir fry bags on the Blackstone as well. Might well be my favorite meal on the Blackstone, along with Philly cheese steak sandwiches

And don’t forget a light coat of oil once it cools down a bit.
