Caught a pretty cool bass today

As the title says, I caught a pretty cool looking bass today. I’ve caught them with a few spots on them before, but never caught one like this. I would’ve loved to have it mounted, but it only weighed 4lb 9oz, so I put it back. Maybe somebody will catch it again when it’s 8-10lbs and get a unique mount out of it.

Second pic it almost looks like a spotted bass with the lines at bottom.

Water color won’t make them black. Clear water will make them really green like a typical bass looks, and muddy water will make them lighter.
Lake fork (clear water)
Bussey brake (muddy water)

How you described it is what I said, clear water they are darker, dirty/muddy water they are almost white.

I caught one pretty similar to that two days ago. I also caught a 7 1/2 two days ago on this great East Texas lake (actually two) where I live.

During the winter the bass in False River always get very defined black spots on em, from what I last heard biologists don't have an answer on why it happens
