Anyone have a recommendation for sod installation in BR? I've checked with Woerner Turf. Just looking to get a few quotes.

Under 3k sq ft?
I'll do it
Any residential landscape company will prep and lay sod.
What are you going with?
This kid out of Central is new to the profession.
Maybe he can cut you a deal

Probably 1500 - 2000sf. Wife wants some flower beds in there as well so maybe we can do both.
If I call the number on your website, will you be the one to answer?

That’s not me haha
Just a kid that went to the school I used to teach at.
I’m just a lawn enthusiast who does a couple of side jobs when convenient.
But I would lay your sod.
Check out the thread where I laid two pallets at my house.
Sounds like you’ll need four pallets.
If interested, email bayoubengals1988@gmail.com

Unless you’re 60+ years old, disabled, or don’t have the time, you can seriously do this yourself in 1-2 days and save about $1,000.
It’s hard work, don’t get me wrong, but it’s definitely doable. You’re looking at 4-5 pallets. We can give you some pointers if you decide to do yourself, just ask!

Big questions are:
1) What does the area look like right now?
2) What type of grass do you want?

Measured this evening. It’s going to be about 2000sf. I don’t have a preference on grass type. My yard is a mix of st aug and centipede.
I’ll do it myself if I can find the time, but that’s not always so easy. I’ll take any tips y’all want to give!

With that tree you’ll want St Aug.
I’d prefer Zoysia, but since you already have two grass types I wouldn’t add a third.
Your grade looks good.
All you need to do is hit it with a rake to loosen the soil.
You can pre fertilize with a starter fert or just wait until a couple of weeks after laying.
Main thing is get your irrigation ready, whatever that looks like.
Make sure you can water every inch of it at least three times per day for the first 7-10 days. The heat is coming, and that’s not good for sod.
Use a carpet knife to cut the sod when needed.
You could lay that in 6 hours with a friend.

You better address that transition area from the slope to the flat area,or else you gonna have a mud hole, that is a perfect place for a french drain just my 2 cents worth

You don’t have much prep work at all. Spray out the few weeds you have and have that little stud pick up all the rocks.
You can sod that area in 1 day, wouldn’t be too difficult. Stagger the seams so you only have 2 corners touching the side of the other piece of sod. Somewhat hard to explain, but you don’t want four corners touching each other. Start at the top and work your way away from the pool.
