What’s the best course on the MS Gulf Coast these days?

Axe’ing the big summer vacay this year and splitting it into two long weekends in June and July. Wife wants one to be a Beau Rivage and Ocean Springs weekend.
Going to play two rounds, and one will be Fallen Oak the day before it closes for aerification.
What’s going to be my best bet for the other round as a 12-15 HC with a rusty short game at the moment?

I would go with The Preserve. Then Grand Bear.

Yes, I agree...

Got a trip coming up to the preserve in 2 weeks. Staying at the Palace, and they shuttle us to and from each day. Priced really well too. Staff at the Preserve is great, leave our clubs there overnight for the next day. All around great experience. We normally hit the Bear on the way back home.

Don’t sleep on shell landing either…. Great course

The Bridges is in better shape than the Bear right now. Greens at the Bear suck right now. I haven't played Shell Landing this year, but its one of my favorites over there.
The Preserve is going to be the nicest, but most expensive.
This is coming from someone who played Grand Bear and The Bridges in the past 2 weeks.

I’ve never played it, but all my buddies who have speak highly of Winddance

I played Windance for the first time last weekend. It was packed and cart-path only. The pace of place was not bad at all and despite the crowd and wet conditions, I really enjoyed the course. $80 a round with a players card from the casino. Definitely will be going back there soon.
Also heard greens at The Bear right now are in bad shape. I didn't play it but my friend said the greens were so bad they were limiting putting to 2 strokes. This was less than 2 weeks ago.

Yeah, so I don't know what the standard rate is out there, but when I called to book our reservation at the hotel and mentioned playing, they offered me a Friday morning tee time $199 and Sunday morning for $179. They had the first tee time of both mornings available, so I jumped on them.
Figured I can't go wrong doing that. I'll catch the Preserve when I'm down there some other time. Thanks guys.

I just played preserve, bear and shell landing a couple weekends ago.
Preserve was nicest but I’m glad we paid the 150 3pm rate vs 250 weekend morning rate.
Front 9 greens at grand bear were in rough shape. Back 9 was better.
Shell Landing was pretty nice.
I like preserve the best but I also played the best that round so probably has something to do with if.
