His own version of the Monroe Doctrine.

Argentina, El Salvador, Panama relations are improving. I’m sure there’s more

Improving our side of the world can help those countries keep the illegals to themselves. Also it’s an opportunity for them to step up & help the US via trade. At least the Americas respect the USA & our power versus some of our “allies”

Also critical for supply chain purposes too

The truth is our economy has never been stronger and China is now falling flat on its face. Trump has played this masterfully and we now hold all the cards.

I 100% want as much business to come back to the US as possible.. but realistically we aren’t getting it all back again.

I’d much rather rely on Central & South America for manufacturing than China.

Also if they have jobs there it will improve quality of life in those countries and discourage people to illegally come to the US.

The CCP is shoring up economic control of SE Asia.....Trump needs to consolidate US economic control of all the Americas....and fricking Greenland.

This is a realistic best case scenario with the tariffs.

This ^^^ should have been the US Corporatocracy plan 40 years ago but that 1.2 billion population in China just made too much sense for cheap labor. If Central and South America would have been developed by the US like the US developed China there would be 30 million fewer illegal immigrants in the US today

Also build their economies up. I bet that would buy from USA if the citizens could afford it

Modi loves Trump. Bessent is in talks with Vietnam. China is crashing, they just cut their rate to 2%. This will be a long game, but we will win

Someone posted an OP earlier where Xi and Vietnam have inked new trade agreements.

That didn’t even look remotely credible.

Probably China pushing propaganda

Time to bridge the Darian Gap. Let Trump complete the Panamerican highway with an interstate level roadway plus freight rail connecting the Americas. One should be able to drive from Punta Arenas to Prudhoe Bay and all points in between.

Disease seems to be the major challenge for this. I can’t find water depth map for the gulfs of Darien and Uraba. I wonder if some sort or bridge system is possible to bypass the dense rainforest and leave that area as undisturbed as possible.
